New Formalism is a design through research studio in which new forms of political expression in contemporary cities are explored. This research group based in the Architectural Association since 2009 understands form as a fundamental matter in the work of the architects. We have explored in these terms different urban typologies (Block, High-rise, Hyperbuilding) in different large cities of Latin America (Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Santiago de Chile, Bogotá, Lima and Mexico City) and new housing typologies in the Mediterranean region (Spain-Barcelona, Seville, Malaga, Granada, Italy-Rome, France-Marseille, Lebanon-Beirut, Israel-Tel Aviv, Greece-Athens, Morocco-Marrakesh, Casablanca, Rabat, Jordan-Amman, and Turkey-Antalya)
