New Formalism is a design through research studio in which new forms of political expression in contemporary cities are explored. This research group based in the Architectural Association since 2009 understands form as a fundamental matter in the work of the architects. We have explore in these terms different urban typologies (Block, High-rise, Hyperbuilding) in different megacities of Latin America (Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Santiago de Chile, Bogotá, Lima and Mexico City). This design unit has been taught by Francisco Gonzalez de Canales and Nuria Alvarez Lombardero.
